NURS 1215 - Nursing Concepts I


Credit Hours: 5
Contact Hours: 3 Lecture, 4 Lab
Offered: Fall, Spring

Introduces the use of critical thinking skills while learning the nursing process. Students will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to provide nursing care to the adult client, focusing on assessment of the adult and demonstration of fundamental nursing skills. Students in this course will complete 60 campus lab hours.

Prerequisite: admission to the ADN program
Prerequisite or Corequisite: BIOL 2203 - Human Anatomy BIOL 2201 - Human Anatomy Laboratory CHEM 1303 - Chemical Principles CHEM 1301 - Chemical Principles Laboratory , and MATH 1303 - College Mathematics And Quantitative Literacy  or MATH 1403 - College Algebra
