NURS 2226 - LPN-RN Transition Concepts


Credit Hours: 6
Contact Hours: 4 Lecture, 4 Lab
Offered: Fall, Spring

Requires LPN students to reinforce the use of critical thinking in the application of the nursing process to the roles of the associate degree nurse which include provider and manager of care and member within the discipline of nursing. The focus will be on basic skills of nursing care for the adult client. This course will include 60 hours of campus lab.

Prerequisite: admission to ADN program
Prerequisite or Corequisite: BIOL 2213 - Human Physiology BIOL 2211 - Human Physiology Laboratory HLTH 1473 - Medical Terminology , and PSYC 1163 - General Psychology
