Requires authentic experience in a K-12 classroom setting in the area in which licensure is sought. Teacher candidates are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating high-quality instruction and materials, which impact student learning in collaboration with the mentor teacher and UAFS site coordinator while completing required field experience hours.

Prerequisite: admission to year-long student residency; admission is determined by the candidate successfully passing all courses prior to Residency I, passing all licensure exams, passing admission interview, and completing the application process.
