At least 40 hours must be upper-level Notes - General Education Core Requirements, see Graduation Requirements section of the catalog. Follow requirements with the following stipulations: social sciences-select two courses from ANTH 20103 , ECON 21003 or ECON 22003 , GEOG 21003 or GEOG 11103 , PSYC 11003 , SOCI 10103 .
- These courses are used to determine major GPA, see Graduation Requirements section of this catalog. Student must make a C or higher in each course to meet graduation requirements of history department.
- History requirements, 21 hours: global history, six hours from the 30000, 35000, 36000, 42000, or 43000 series; European history, three hours from the 31000, 32000, or 33000 series; United States history, nine hours from the 34000 or 41000 series. One additional three hour upper-level HIST elective, consult with faculty advisor.
- Additional degree requirements, 31 hours. Consult with faculty advisor. A minor of at least 18 hours is required plus 13 hours of electives. To complete 40 upper-level hours for required for graduation, students who choose to take an Intermediate I language course must take a minimum of 10 upper-level hours; students who choose an upper-level history elective must take a minimum of seven upper-level hours (see note 5 below).
- World language requirement, eight hours. Must complete through Beginning II of a world language, and either take the 2303 Intermediate I language course or upper-level History elective in consultation with advisor.
- Prior to graduation students must demonstrate competency in financial literacy by satisfactory completion of FINN 15201 - Personal Finance Applications (or an approved substitution) with a grade of C or better, or by a score of 70% or more on a challenge exam for FINN 15201 .
