NURS 1226 - Nursing Concepts II


Credit Hours: 6
Contact Hours: 4 Lecture, 6 Clinical
Offered: Fall, Spring

Reinforces the use of the nursing process and applying critical thinking while developing clinical judgement in nursing care of adult and geriatric clients. Students will begin to use fundamental nursing skills to identify and prioritize the needs of medical/surgical adult clients with common health problems in a variety of clinical settings. Students in this course will complete a total of 90 clinical hours.

Prerequisite: NURS 1215 - Nursing Concepts I  
Prerequisite or Corequisite: BIOL 2213 - Human Physiology BIOL 2211 - Human Physiology Laboratory HLTH 1473 - Medical Terminology , and PSYC 1163 - General Psychology
