PHAR 3203 - Nursing Pharmacology Credit Hours: 3 Contact Hours: 3 Lecture Offered: Fall, Spring
Forms a knowledge base for pharmacotherapeutics, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics related to client care and education. Students will understand major drug classifications, purpose, and function by studying prototypes; combine pharmacotherapy with pathophysiology to understand diseases, prevention measures, lifestyle modification factors, treatment options, and health promotion related to pharmacological agents and evidence-based nursing for client teaching, medication administration, and monitoring.
Prerequisite: HLTH 3103 - Pathophysiology . Prerequisite or Corequisite: NURS 2202 Nursing Math , NURS 3165 Health Assessment , and NURS 3225 Nursing Fundamentals
