Expansion of basic information on dental hygiene therapy, emphasizing skills needed for assessment and treatment of patients. Topics include preventive and therapeutic procedures to promote and maintain oral health and to assist the patient in achieving oral health goals, management of emergency procedures, treatment planning, dental caries, instrument sharpening, ultrasonic, and fluoride therapy. Application of theory in DHYG 32133 .
