The associare of applied science in general technology degree offers concentrations in welding or general. Please refer to the degree plan for specifics on each concentration. A Journeyman’s certificate from the Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training, a division of the U.S. Department of Labor, may fulfill 24 hours of technical requirements in the general concentration.

- These courses are used to determine major courses in residency, see Graduation requirements. Student must maintain a 2.00 cumulative GPA in these courses.
- Computer requirement; Select three hours from CPSI 10003 , CPSI 10531 , CPSI 11031 , CPSI 12001 , or CPSI 12531 .
- Technical requirements. Select welding or general. The 38 credit hours are to be selected as follows:
- Primary Concentration - consists of 24 credit hours from one area listed below. May be fulfilled by the approved completion of the Journeyman’s Certificate from the Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training, a division of the U.S. Department of Labor. These credit hours will be granted at the completion of all the other AAS degree requirements
- Supporting Courses - consists of 14 credit hours from list below.
- Hours in the primary concentrations and supporting courses can be selected from AMST, ELTE, WELD, or other technical areas approved by the College.
Prior to graduation students must demonstrate competency in financial literacy by satisfactory completion of FINN 15201 - Personal Finance Applications (or an approved substitution) with a gradeof C or better, or by score a of 70% or more on a challenge examfor FINN 15201 . |
